Arthi Ramachandran

Arthi Ramachandran builds data systems that organizations can trust. A full-stack data scientist with more than a decade of experience, she works across data engineering, data science, and machine learning engineering.

She designs the data infrastructure and pipelines that everything else rests on, builds predictive models on top of them, gets those models into production, and sets up the shared tooling and practices (version control, testing, CI/CD, code review) that keep the whole system reliable and reproducible. That end-to-end fluency lets her meet a team wherever its data work is stuck, whether that’s foundational plumbing or a model that needs to ship.

Arthi’s experience spans research and industry, with a common thread of putting data to work on high-stakes, mission-driven problems. She earned a PhD in Computer Science from Columbia University and did postdoctoral research at the University of Chicago, where she built a predictive tool with a local HIV clinic and public health department to identify patients at risk of falling out of care. She has since carried that same lens into the healthcare and social sectors, including data infrastructure and engineering work for a large national nonprofit, helping organizations focus their resources where they can do the most good.

Based in the Chicago metro area, Arthi is usually baking, knitting, or (more recently) crocheting when she isn’t working through a stack of books. Most of all, she loves time with her family, cooking together and playing board games with her kids.
