Rob Hartless

Rob Hartless serves as Lead Data Engineer for SKS’s Direct Response Data Services Practice. His guiding conviction is simple: every organization deserves data that strengthens the work it was built to do. Rob’s career in the field spans more than two decades, including a tenure as Associate Vice President of Data Services at a leading fundraising agency, where he helped establish the data services division and went on to lead it. He now focuses on the hands-on engineering that drew him to the work in the first place.

His past client roster includes GiveGreen United Action, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Doctors Without Borders, Hillel International, the Democratic National Committee, Alley Cat Allies, and the International African American Museum, as well as two presidential and over 10 congressional candidate campaigns. For each, Rob assisted in designing the data platforms, pipelines, audience segmentation strategies, and data processing procedures that propelled the clients’ missions forward.

Rob lives in Forest, Virginia, with his partner of ten years, his stepson, and their much-loved dog. Away from work, he channels his creative energy into producing music and has recently returned to a childhood favorite: building with Lego. He and his partner enjoy dining out, taking day trips whenever the opportunity arises, and unwinding at home with a good show or movie.
